How to sell your products or services in Rwanda expo
Rwanda International Trade Fair (RITF) is one of Rwanda’s major annual events organized by Private Sector Federation (PSF) in conjunction with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and East African Community Affairs (MINEACOM). Over 500 business entities from more than 30 countries usually attend Kigali International Trade Fair “expo” which normally takes place at Gikondo Expo Ground in Kigali Rwanda every July to August.
Such events started far back in 1978, by then organized by the Ministry of Commerce itself and opened to international participation mainly from neighbour countries. The event provides visitors the opportunity to find out about the products and services on display. It also provides business people with the opportunity to network and exchange ideas and share experiences.
The success of these trade fairs was mainly attributed to the quality of the exhibition in terms of exhibits, the level of networking among the national and foreign exhibitors and the support rendered by the government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and East African Community Affairs (MINEACOM).
The two – week long event, popularly known as EXPO is organized by Rwanda’s Privates Sector Federation (PSF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The space can accommodate a population of 270,000 visitors at an entry fee of 500 Rfw equal to (0, 7 US $). Usually, big and small traders from Asian, Europe, and Africa are exhibit various products and services.
The expo enables exhibitors to share business and investment ideas, which results into opening up of new businesses in Rwanda by foreign participants.
